Obituary

DeFoe, A. Daniel was born in Bay City, MI on January 6, 1919. Dan graduated from the University of Michigan and worked for 42 years for AT&T and Michigan Bell. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe. He was an active member of Berkley First United Methodist Church. He was married for 70 years to the love of his life, Margaret A. "Mugsie" DeFoe who died last May. He was the devoted father of Molly (Bob) Macaulay and Rev. Susan (Rev. Marshall) Dunlap. He loved his grandchildren, Dr. Daniel, Amalia, Elizabeth and Lawrence Dunlap and Meggen and Emily (Michael Cappitelli) Macaulay. He had three great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Margaret and Amelia Macaulay. He was a wonderful man, generous, decent, honest and responsible. His family adored him and will miss him dearly. Funeral Service Friday 11 am at Henry Ford Village Chapel (Ford Rd & Greenfield), Dearborn. Gathering Friday 10 am. Interment Roseland Park Friday 2:30 pm. www.howepeterson.com
