Adolphus "Dolph" Painter, age 86, passed away September 29th, 2018 after a battle with Alzheimer's. He was a clay modeler retired from Ford Motor Company and a talented woodworker. He was always willing to help family, church, and community. No job was too big for his generous heart.

Dolph was a loving husband to his wife of 62 years, Mary. A proud father to his 4 children Dolph (Deborah) Painter, Karen (William) Oprish, Lori (David) Falgout, and Linda (John) Lefebvre. A dear grandfather to his 11 grandchildren Graham (Kayla), Lincoln (Claire), Reid, Emma, and Hope Painter; Melissa (Robert) Young and Sara Falgout; and Jake, Zachery, Caitlyn, Lindsey Lefebvre. A caring great-grandfather to Gideon, Ezekiel, and Merry Painter. He is survived by 3 brothers and preceded in death by 4 brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 3rd at 10AM. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 2nd from 2-8PM. All services will be located at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Dolph will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
