Agustin was born in Crystal City, Texas to Perfecto and Tomasa Cervera on May 4, 1938. After graduating high school, he joined the Army. He was stationed in Germany as part of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. After an honorable discharge, he made his way to Detroit, Michigan to work in the automotive industry. In 1965 he met and married the love of his life Amelia Alcala. Together they had 6-children: Arturo (deceased), Adela (Tony), Agustin Jaime (Elaine), Ricardo (Mariah), Ana Maria (Dwayne), and Sylvia (Kayed). He is survived by Grandchildren: Arturo, Angie, Amelia, Nicholas, Malinda, Marissa, Desmond, Andre, Anthony, Jesse, Kamron, Selene, Sarah, Richard, and Britney. As well as, Great Grandchildren: Ronald, Jada, Natalia, Micah, Noah, Luca, Amelia, Kihanna, Mia, Elijah, Jacob, Kayed, Ameir, and Brandon Dwayne.
After retiring from GM, he and Amelia moved to Laredo, TX. Where he designed and built, together (with their own hands) a beautiful home in the country. He will be remembered for his love for his family, self-made engineer/builder, love of the outdoors, musical talents (band member, played: bajo-sexto, bass, guitar, accordion and piano) and strong faith in God Almighty. As a family, we are happy that he is now reunited with Amelia, his wife, in Heaven.
Flowers, cards, and memorial contributions to his favorite charity fightingaids.org are all welcome.
If you are going to make a donation, it is preferred to go to fighting aids with nutrition rather that plant a tree via the link below.
