Obituary

Aileen Barbara Lohr Bower Clark passed away on November 18, 2022 in Troy. She was born December 16, 1925 in Detroit. Loving Mother of Marsha Cooper Voncina (Peter) and Linda Bower Murray (William II). Proud Grandmother of Katie (McConnell) Cooper Trapp, John (Nicole) Cooper III, William (Amanda) Murray III, Kevin Murray, and Brian (Aure'lie) Murray. Great Grandmother of nine. Aileen was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard Lohr and Flossie Wrightman Lohr, her brother, Jack Lohr, her husband, Walter Bower, her second husband, James Clark, her son, Bradley Bower, and grandson, Sean Bower.

Aileen graduated from Fordson High School in 1944, Henry Ford Community College in 1963, and University of Michigan Dearborn 1966. She was an English teacher for Dearborn public schools. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader, especially murder mystery books. Aileen was a part of the Nomads club with her husband, James Clark. She also volunteered at Henry Ford Fairlane Hospital for some time.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 11am-1pm at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Dearborn Chapel. Following the visitation, there will be a 2:00pm committal service inside the chapel at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
