On April 12, 2022 Alfred (Al) A. Michael went home peacefully to be with the Lord.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan to Rose and Samuel Michael.  He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years. Carol "KeKe" J. (Veldman).  He is the brother of Doris Theresa, James (Jimmy) Peter, Amile, Adele M.,

Rose H., Samuel T., Robert J., Blanche Robles, Rose Mary (Tosy), and Edward (Eddie) surviving.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends who loved him immeasurably.

In his early years, Al helped in his parents grocery store near Lakewood St. in Detroit.  When he was older he parked cars for his brother's parking lots in Detroit.  It was while parking cars that he met Carol (KeKe) as she walked, uninvited, across his lot.

While dating Carol for many years, Al took night classes at Wayne State University to obtain his degree in accounting.  He then formed a CPA partnership with William Whitehead and Alfred A. Michael from January 1964 until July 1990.  He served honorably in the Army from May 10, 1951 to August 1956, stationed for some time in the bitter cold of Alaska.

He walked and lived his deep faith and was a loving role model for his family.  Al was an incredibly sweet, giving and happy man and the definition of a true gentleman.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services immediately following at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan AVE, Dearborn MI 48124.
