Alice Preuss passed away on October 24, 2021 at the age of 97.

Beloved wife of 70 years to the late Luther.

Loving mother of the late Christine (late David) Johnston, Douglas (Joan), Steven (Frances), Nancy (David) O'Chel and the late David.

Dear grandma of Jennifer, Doug, Jill, Hillary, Justin, and Christian.

Proud great grandma of Malachi, Taj, Keegan, Tyler, Lucy, Saddie and Eleanor.

Alice was born on August 16, 1924 in Detroit. She was later adopted to Dr Bessie Strong and grew up in Ionia MI. She loved going to Clifford Lake during the summer months to swim and enjoy the outdoors. Life was wonderful in the small town of Ionia. She then met and fell in love with Luther Preuss a flight instructor in Marshall Mi. They were later married on March 22 ^nd 1945.

After WWII ended they eventually settled in Dearborn Michigan where they started a family and attended Guardian Lutheran Church.

Alice was an loving mother and wife. She was an excellent cook and made sure that the needs of her family were always met. Alice and Luther instilled good values in their 5 children.

There was plenty of family time spent together camping and taking road trips, traveling on summer vacations camping out west visiting the many national Parks building many fond memories.

Once the children grew up and started families of their own, Alice and Luther purchased a motorhome continued the tradition of camping and enjoying the outdoors.

Alice was a devoted member of Guardian Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She made many life long friends while participating in various programs and events.

Over anything else, Alice loved her family. Alice was an amazing woman who touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
