Amelia Cervera, 84, of Detroit, Michigan, passed away June 18, 2014, in Detroit, Michigan. Visitation will be held at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home in Dearborn, Michigan on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 1pm to 8pm. Funeral service at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church, on June 24 at 10:00 am with Father Don Demmer of Christ Our Light Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn, MI.

Amelia was born in Detroit to Francisco & Guadalupe Alcala on March 4, 1933. She was one of 7-siblings. Married to Agustin Cervera in 1965, mother of 6-children. Recently returned from Laredo, TX (where she and Agustin literally built their 2nd home and lived there for 25-years) to be home again with her family in Michigan. She will be remembered for her love for her family and strong Catholic faith. She had a beautiful voice and would perform mexican & pop songs at family gatherings, with her loving husband Agustin, who accompanied her on his guitar.
