Amy Annette
Doner
May 24, 1970 – February 3, 2024
Amy Annette Doner passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024. She was born on May 24, 1970 in Farmington Hills Michigan.
As a child and on into adulthood, Amy enjoyed vacationing in northern Michigan with her parents Charles and Patricia Doner, her brothers Art, Chris and Brad and many others. Most of the time included snowmobiling, snow skiing, canoeing, Euchre and campfires at their one room cabin in Mio.
Amy loved spending time with her Nephews and Nieces, Artie, Megan, Annika, Jacob, Ashlyn, Julianne and Keira. They adored Amy and learned to appreciate her unique, silly and often sassy sense of humor.
Amy had a special affection for dogs. She was "Aunt Amy" to her friend's dogs and of course she spoiled all of them. She rescued her favorite; an American Bulldog and they shared many happy years together until Liberty's recent passing.
Amy was exceptionally intelligent which led to her earning a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a Master's degree in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She served as a Social worker early in her career and also as an entrepreneur by founding a Marine canvas business. Amy spent the majority of her career as a Project Manager in the telecom business with a focus on site acquisition and placement of Cellular towers.
Her career ultimately led Amy to Sandy Utah where she resided with spectacular views of the mountains and Salt Lake City in the distance. There she enjoyed snow skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, camping and occasionally golf. She joined an international "Hash House Harriers" group and spent many years with wonderful friends hiking and participating in various other activities in Utah and other locations.
Amy is survived by her father Charles, brothers Art (Shirley), Chris (Kim), Brad (Laurie) and all Nephews and Nieces.
Amy's Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7th at the Dearborn Location of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
