Obituary

Angeline “Angie” Mach passed away peacefully in Dearborn, Michigan on April 29, 2026, at the age of 99. Angie was born on October 2, 1926, in River Rouge, Michigan, to the late Alphonse and Irene (Nicholson) Sarazin.

Angie is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Mach, sisters Joan (Sarazin) McDaniels and Susanne (Sarazin) Timoszyk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was a cherished friend to many who were touched by her warmth and generosity. Angie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd “Bud” Mach, who passed away in 1975 at the age of 49 and siblings Mary Jane (Sarazin) Totcky, John “Jack” Sarazin, and James “Jim” Sarazin.

Angie and Bud met on a group outing that included sledding, and as Angie would say, it was all “uphill” from there. Their lives together were filled with love, laughter, and devotion. They spent many years together flying in Bud’s plane up to Cedar Lake in Greenbush, Michigan and traveling in their camper. Before their daughter, Tammy came along, she and Bud enjoyed square dancing and bowling. Sadly, their time was cut short when Bud suffered a sudden heart attack, leaving Angie to raise their young daughter on her own. With strength, resilience, and unwavering love, Angie embraced the role of single parent and provided a nurturing, faith‑filled home.

Angie worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Martin & Snyder before retiring. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and walking through her neighborhood, earning her the affectionate nickname “the walker”. Angie had a tender heart and opened her home and love to all, including animals - especially her beloved poodle, Gee Gee and the special cats who provided her with comfort and companionship.

In retirement, Angie found joy in traveling with the Dearborn Heights senior group. She was deeply devoted to her church and treasured time spent with family during holidays and birthday celebrations, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Family was always at the center of Angie’s life. She took great pride in her daughter and worked tirelessly to ensure Tammy could attend Catholic school and later pursue higher education at Madonna University. Angie was a strong, independent woman whose steadfast faith, determination, and kindness left a lasting impression on those who knew her - most especially on her daughter, to whom she passed on these values.

Angie will be remembered for her quiet strength, generous heart, deep faith, and enduring love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the example she set through a life well-lived.
