Anne Helen
Tencza
July 26, 1933 – August 26, 2025
Anne Helen Tencza of Taylor, MI, passed away on August 26, 2025 at the age of 92.
Anne was born on July 26, 1933 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of John and Marie Konieczny. She married John F. Tencza in 1954 and they were married for 71 years. They were blessed with four wonderful children, John E Tenza, Mary Anne Tencza, Robert Tencza and Richard Tencza.
Anne graduated from high school at the top of her class. As an expert in shorthand and an extremely fast typist, she went on to work for the Vice President of Standard Oil in Chicago. After she married John and moved to Michigan, she worked for executives at Uniroyal Tires, and later as City Council Secretary at Taylor City Hall. Her savvy people skills were highly respected by all who worked with her. Anne also volunteered at the hospital for many years offering companionship and comfort to patients.
Most important to Anne was her family, whom she was totally devoted to. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved designing and decorating cakes for special occasions. She also loved hosting her children and grandchildren for scrumptious meals during the holidays. She was even known to dress up as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve to everyone's delight. Anne loved to play cards and Scrabble, visit Frankenmuth and Sabina's for dinner, and babysit her grandchildren. She was extremely generous with her time, energy and gifts all year long.
Anne will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her memory lives on through the laughter she inspired, the life lessons she taught, and the maternal love she shared with everyone lucky enough to know her.
Anne leaves behind her husband, John; her sons: John, Robert, and Richard; her daughters-in-law: Linda, Barb and Kelley; her grandchildren: Michael Tencza, Jeff Tenza, Eric Tenza, Kelsey Sisock (husband, Corey and great-grandson, Milo), Dominique Tencza, Tyler Tencza (wife, Siarra), Brittany Studer (husband, Brent and children, Laynlee and Emberlee), and Nicole Hardin.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Marie, brother John Konen, sister Jean Beaumont, daughter Mary Anne Tencza, and grandson, Steven Tencza.
