Antoinette Monica Russell Kozar, 88, died April 30, 2008, at Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, MI, after a long illness. Mrs. Kozar was born in Cadillac, MI on December 30, 1919, daughter of Clarence and Mamie Copeland Russell. She became deaf by age 3. In 1928 her family moved to Saginaw, where she attended Handley School for the Deaf. She married Frank Kozar at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in Detroit on July 2, 1946. They moved to Taylor, MI in 1958. She retired from the U.S. Post Office in Detroit in 1987. She and her husband, Frank, have been active members of the Detroit Deaf Club for many years, and long time members of the deaf congregation at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Redford. Toni is survived by her loving husband, Frank Kozar; five children, Frank Kozar of Allen Park, MI, Molly Kline of Belleair, FL, Sarah Wilson of El Paso, TX, Tim Kozar of Taylor, MI and Ada McCain of Medford, OR; and eight grandchildren. Funeral Service Saturday, 11:00am at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road. Visitation Friday, 5-9pm with Rosary at 7:00pm. Interment at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia
