Ardis Elaine Floetke (nee Zahnow), 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Dearborn, MI on February 8, 2022.
Mrs. Floetke was born in Dearborn on March 12, 1927 to Charles A. Zahnow and Ella Strohmeyer Zahnow.
Mrs. Floetke attended the Scotch Settlement School and was the "last living survivor of the Edison Institute High School" both located in Greenfield Village, Dearborn, MI.
Mrs. Floetke graduated from the Detroit School of Music.
She was Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and was asked to be Grand Soloist, traveling the state of Michigan.
On September 17, 1949, Ardis Zahnow married Donald August Floetke at the Martha-Mary Chapel in Greenfield Village. They were faithful members at Hope Lutheran Church in Dearborn. Don predeceased Ardis in 2001, having been married nearly 52 years.
They have three children; David A. Floetke (Cathy) of Averill Park, NY., Mark A. Floetke of Garden City, MI. and Gail A. McLeod (Bob) of Harrison, MI.
Their grandchildren include; Amy Floetke Wroblewski (Arthur, Jr.) of Zeigler, Il, Kim Floetke Reed (Ray) of Garden City, MI., Kelly Floetke of Garden City, MI., Rich Burley (Eva) of Bossier City, LA., Erica Burley (Gary Sifford) of Highland, CA., Brandon Searcy of Fenton, MI. and Ian Searcy of Howell, MI.
Their great grandchildren include Arthur Wroblewski III, Aubree Wroblewski, Easton Burley, Chase Burley and Wyatt Sifford.
A private burial will take place.
