Obituary

Dearborn, MI - Aron Fredric (Fred) Buko, 84, passed away July 1, 2020.

First Born Son of the late Aron Gabor Buko and Mary Rose (Horvath) Buko.  Freddy, born in Detroit, was the couples Christmas present on December 25, 1935.  A 1953 graduate of Lincoln Park High School Fred ran track and participated in baseball and Boy Scouts.

Fred was quite active during his lifetime as he excelled in ballroom dancing, snow skiing, tennis and cycling.  He spent many a winter on the mountains of Colorado with the Ford Thunderbird Ski Club.  An avid cyclist, Fred rode the DALMAC bike race from Lansing to Mackinac a half dozen times and even turned around and rode back once or twice!  Turner Classic Movies was his favorite TV channel to watch the old classic black and whites especially when they included Fred Astaire dancing across the screen!

A proud man of Ford Motor Company, Fred worked 32 years for Ford and retired from the Wayne Assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan.  It wasn't unusual to see Fred driving around Dearborn in his bright red Mustang convertible and you may have even run into him at the Ford's Garage restaurant where he was a regular patron.

Fred is survived by his Brother Tim (Monica) Buko, children Kathy (Juanita Altobelli) Buko, Susie (Douglas) Woolard and David (Ruth) Buko, grandchildren Ryan Collins, David (Sierra) Buko, Joseph (Paige) Buko, Maria Buko, Anna Buko, Christina Buko, Catherine Buko and Anthony McNeal. He is preceded in death by his Brother Richard (Sonja) Buko.
