Audrey Jean King passed away on May 24, 2022 at the age of 86 with her loving family by her side.

Audrey Jean Goerke was born September 2, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. Audrey was the second child of Dr. Elmer Goerke and Gladys (Koester) Goerke.

Audrey lived in Romulus Michigan until the age of 14 and then moved to Dearborn, Michigan where she lived the rest of her life. Audrey graduated from Dearborn High School in 1953, and Michigan State University in 1957 with a degree in fashion merchandising. She was an assistant buyer at Hudson's Department Store in downtown Detroit.

Audrey was close friends with Betty King whose younger brother, Fred King, became her husband on August 22, 1959.  They enjoyed a 62 1/2 year marriage together.

She is survived by her loving husband, Fred King, her sister Beverly, her brother Paul, and her brother David. She leaves behind her four dedicated sons Chris King, Jeffrey King, Brett King, and Matthew King.

In addition to her four loving boys, she leaves behind a son-in-law and three daughters-in-law, nineteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren with two on the way.

A memorial service will be held at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn, MI on Saturday May 28, 2022.
