Baldassare Filippi, age 88, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed Tuesday, November 26, 2019.  He was born February 3, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan.  The son of Ignazio and Josephine Filippi.  Beloved husband of Gerry and is survived by loving children Jeff (Beverley), Kathryn (Richard) Rice, Gary (Dorothy), and Paula (T. J. Briggs).  Grandfather of Mackenzie Filippi, Shane Filippi, Mitchel Filippi, AnnMarie Rice and Kevin Briggs.  Brother of Jenny Adragna, Josephine Dara and the late Benny Filippi, Ida Lazzara and Pauline Sides.  Baldassare was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and was retired from Mutual of Detroit.  He was also a car enthusiast.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 1 from 2 - 8 pm at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Taylor Chapel.  Services will take place Monday, December 2, 10 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Dearborn Heights, Michigan.  Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
