Entered into rest on April 9, 2020. Age 81. Beloved wife of the late David Allen for 39 years. Loving mother of Steven White and Michael White. Dearest sister of Donna McCann, Maryetta Rembis,  Russell Brown and the late Blake Brown. Barbara was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Private services to take place with interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery. Barbara took a special interest in genealogy and ancestry.  She received her Doctorate in education from Wayne State University.  Through her travels, she was able to visit every state in the USA.  She loved to travel along with her dogs by van, discovering many new places and seeing many wonderful sights.  New Orleans was one her personal favorite spots.
