Barbara Ann
Cuthbert
January 3, 1938 – October 7, 2023
Barbara Ann Cuthbert, age 85, passed away October 7, 2023.
Beloved wife of the late William Cuthbert.
Proud mother of William, Steven (Andrea), Scott (Sandra), Michael (Janice), and Michelle Collins (Timothy Yax).
Caring grandmother of Aaron (Katie), Ashley (Brandon), Zachary, Amber (Robert), Alison (Reed), Cameron, Riley, and Carlee, the late Alyssa (Robert).
Dear great-grandmother of Dylan, Ellie, Gavin, Blair (arriving soon!), Brooklyn, Quinn, Lennox, Ridge, Wyatt, and Jade.
Cherished sister of John (Ruthann) Fraser, and James Fraser.
Barbara was a woman with a bright spirit and many intricate facets to her life. She made her home in Taylor, Michigan with William for 65 years, becoming a pillar in the community she so loved. Their strong devotion in their faith allowed them to further serve the community through their dedication to St. Alfred Parish, where they attended for over 60 years.
Barbara could often be found curled up with a good book. She also enjoyed needlework. Her cross stitch, needlepoint, and knitting creations were thoughtful and full of love. When a new little one would arrive in the family, she'd make a beautiful cross stitch to hang on their nursery wall. When not working on her projects, she would dive into a thrilling episode of Days of Our Lives.
Barbara enjoyed to travel. Arm in arm with William, they explored to the corners of the US, traveling as far as Alaska and taking fun-filled cruises together. Along for the ride, they would couple up with their neighbors, friends, and family for their excursions. Another favorite destination was the family cottage up North, where she and William would spend as much time as possible relaxing and taking in the scenery.
Above all, Barbara's husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were what she cared most about in life. For a short while, she worked sales to fund her children's college tuitions. Staying at home taking care of her children and husband was her passion. She tried to be as involved as she could in her kid's lives, even going as far as becoming a Scout and Brownie Troupe leader for them. Barbara was a rock to the entire family. She was strong willed, self-sufficient, and will be missed beyond words.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be forwarded to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
