Popkey
September 21, 1937 – December 8, 2020
Bertha Popkey passed away peacefully with all of her family by her side on December 8 th , 2020 at the age of 83.
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Popkey.
Loving sister of Virginia (Thomas) Roulo and the late Grace Allene Rettig.
Devoted aunt of Cheryle Caldwell, M. Jay Bechtol II (Paula), Theresa Bechtol, Natalie (Ray) Luzuka, and Nathan Bechtol.
She is also survived by her close family friend, Marvin J. Bechtol, many great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
Bertha truly loved volunteering at King Haven Retirement Home where she and her sister would sing for the residents. They had been performing there for the last 8 years, but were unable to continue due to Covid restrictions.
Bertha really enjoyed spending time with her family, her nieces and nephews were her children and they would describe her as their second mother. In her spare time she enjoyed playing games with family and friends, but she was most happy reading – she would even receive books opposed to flowers for special occasions!
