Bonnie Lee Laskey, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was a devoted wife, partner, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her legacy is marked by love, kindness, strength and selflessness.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Laskey, with whom she shared a life of love, family, travel and memories. Also a devoted partner to Donald Kingery for a decade of love, respect, and common interests.
Bonnie was the proud loving mother to Kathy (Joe Nahra) Ringwelski-Nahra, Vickie (Joe) Pulido, Carol (Mike) Moore, Robert L. Laskey, Bonnie Sue (Nickie) Todaro and Charles (Doris Tillery) Laskey.
She also loved her "stepchildren", Karen Mullet (Rob Hill), Keith (Debbie) Kingery, and Kathy (Ken) Hoobler and their families.
Grandmother to 13 grandchildren: Patrick (Jennifer Graf) Ringwelski, Kevin (Kathy) Ringwelski, Shayna (Jason) Hale, Brent (Nicole) Pulido, Melissa (Joe MacQuarrie) Moore, Michael Moore, Kristin (Bryan) Tillery, Ashley Moore, Christopher (Nancy) Waechter, Jeremy (Brianna) Waechter, Chuckie Laskey, Stephanie (Chris) Jones, and Steve (Lauren) Tillery.
Great grandmother to 28 great grandchildren: Sydney, Reese, Riley, Sloane, Jacob, Matthew, Ella, Blaike, Cece, Conner, Aiden, Nixon, Brooks, Tyler, Hailey, Emily, Cassidy, Nathan, Caleb, Ryan, Sophia, Ian, Henry, CJ, Noah, Livia, Hannah and Evelyn.
Also survived by her brother-in-law, Charles (Sharon) Laskey, sister-in-law, Nancy Laskey and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Laskey; her son, Robert L. Laskey; granddaughter, Ashley Moore; great granddaughter, Lauren Moore; her parents, Lawrence and Anna Wood; her siblings, Caroline Laskey, Lawrence Wood, James Wood, Fritz Wood, Charles Wood, Linda Kadau, Timothy Wood; sons-in-law, Patrick Ringwelski and Nickie Todaro; best friend Evelyn Flood; and her dog, Star.
Bonnie had a 20-year career at J.L. Hudson's, Marshall Field's and Macy's, for a total of 32 years of service and always greeted customers with a smile, patience and professionalism.
Bonnie found her happiness in the time she spent with her family. She will be remembered for her warm and giving heart, deep love for her family, and hard-working spirit. She loved gardening, traveling, baking, and canning what she reaped from the earth, walking in the woods with her dog, fishing, preparing family meals, lottery scratch tickets, and gambling on slot machines at the casino.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. All services will be located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, MI 48180. Bonnie will be interred at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland, MI.
