Helton
October 2, 1955 – March 16, 2024
Brenda Helton went home to Jesus on March 16, 2024 unexpectedly at the age of 68.
Brenda met her loving husband of 51 years, Lee Helton, at a church event in August of 1970. They married on March 16, 1973 and went on to have two children, Elizabeth and James.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and nana, she also loved cooking, gardening, and singing within her church congregation. Throughout her entire life, Brenda held and unwavering deep faith in God.
Brenda joins in heaven her parents, James Brown and Opal Swafford, along with her in-laws, Pauline Burkhart, George Burkhart, and Eulas Helton.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband Lee Helton, her son James Helton, and her daughter Elizabeth (Michael) Seever.
Brenda was a proud nana to her grandchildren, Tessa, Kenneth, Alexander, Brandon, Chad, Tyler, Joslyn, Lailah, and Mason.
Brenda was to be a great grandmother to Naomi due in April of 2024.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 12:00pm-8:00pm and Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 12:00pm-8:00pm. A Funeral service will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 12:00pm at the Taylor location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services located at 9800 Telegraph Road, Taylor, MI 48180. Brenda will be laid to rest in her final resting place at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan on March 22, 2024.
