Brian Howard Brunner passed away July 6, 2026.
He was born in Highland Park, Michigan October 30, 1961, to George and Julia (Walk) Brunner, and spent a life filled with love of family, service, and kindness.
Brian is survived by his siblings; George (Robin) Brunner, Mary Norus, Raymond (Vickie) Brunner, Patricia Sharp, Audrey (Douglas) Stolp, Walter (Wendy) Brunner, Richard Brunner and Barry Brunner; his cats Butter and Canna; and many, many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Lorraine Brunner and William "Glen" Brunner.
Brian was known for his straightforward nature and brutal honesty. He loved music, especially heavy metal (Iron Maiden was his favorite) and his family has many memories of concerts attended together. He enjoyed watching the Lions games both in person and in more recent years, at home. He loved all animals and always had a rescue pet or 2 in his home. His greatest joy was his family, being there for them, and making them laugh. He made sure his family always knew how he felt, and how much he would do for them. He brought this quiet strength to his time in the Airforce, serving just over 4 years. Brian was a true patriot, and loved his country.
No services are planned at this time, but per his request his cremated remains will be scattered on his property at Torch Lake. He has left a hole in the heart of his family and will be missed every day.
