Calvin F. Blanton, of Taylor, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2021 at the age of 64.

Loving husband of Karen Lynne Blanton (Martin) for 44 years, dear father of  Jason (Jennie) and Adam (Jenna). Preceded in death by Parents Calvin and Margeret Blanton and Sister Helen (William) Barber. Brother of Linda (Terry) Michels, Clayton Matthew (Shelly) Blanton and Sheila (Dennis) Pace. Brother-in-Law of Gerald and David (Linda) Martin. Loving papa of Caitlynne, Hunter, Aubrianna, Wyatt, Owen, Savannah, Annalyse and Emily Blanton, great-papa of Tayden and Carter and 11 nieces and nephews.

Calvin was a mechanic since he was 20 years old and had recently retired 3 years ago.   In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and traveling, his favorite trips were to Kentucky.  He was most happy spending time with his cherished grandchildren.  Calvin will be truly missed by his friends and family.

Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home. Family will have a private service following the visitation, which will be record by the family.

In respect to the executive order, the visitation for Mr. Blanton will be limited to 25 visitors at a time in the funeral home and face masks/coverings are required.
