Carl J. Marut, age 88 of Taylor, Michigan passed away on April 9, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Anna May Marut, and father of Carl Jr. and Greg. Proud grandfather of Joseph (Christina), Danielle (Aaron) Plohg, Devin (Brandon) Surcek, and Deanna (Kevin) Wasiukanis. Great-grandfather of Addyson, Caleb, Brenden, Catie, Chase, and Elliott. He will be missed by his long time companion Julia Minster and his niece Carol Worosz.

Carl was born on April 25, 1931, to Victor and Mary Marut. He was the youngest of 7 children. He graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in River Rouge and served in the army during the Korean War. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1995.
