Husband of the late Genevieve: father of Michael, and the late Michelle Herrick, stepfather of Dr. Dennis Phelps

Grandfather of Rachel (Herrick) Watson and Micah Herrick, 2 Great Grandchildren. He graduated from Bowling Green State University, Class of 1948 as a life member of Sigma Chi fraternity, and served in the Army during WWII.

Carl "Bud" Flegle enjoyed a long career at Dearborn High as a coach of Football, Baseball, Basketball, and his favorite sport, golf, retiring after 33 years. He was Coach of the Year in 1979 and a member of the City of Dearborn Hall of Fame.

He was elected into Michigan High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1993.

He loved keeping in touch with former students. Carl will be dearly missed by his companions at Assurant Care who enjoyed his stories over the past several years

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Josephs Hospice, Ann Arbor.
