Carol Dawn Houston passed away on April 17, 2025 at the age of 79.

Carol was born on September 21, 1945, she lived a joyful, generous, and creative life. A true nurturer in every sense, she had a green thumb that could bring any garden to life and a gift for baking that filled her home with warmth and sweetness. Her hands were rarely still: sewing, crocheting, or working on needlepoint, always making something beautiful for those she loved.

Carol had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of sunshine. Always smiling, endlessly positive, and delightfully talkative, she had a way of lighting up any room. She loved deeply and completely, especially when it came to her grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. She was always ready to try something new, eager to explore and experience everything she could. Her boundless curiosity and zest for life were truly inspiring.

She shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Rosie, who was her constant companion and source of comfort and joy.

Carol was goodhearted through and through—a steady presence, a source of laughter, and a reminder of all that is kind and generous in the world. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Loving wife of William for 36 years. Precious Mother of Susan (Conrad) Mazuchowski, Scott (Kim) O'Neill and John (Bettina) O'Neill. Dear Grandmother of Angela, Jesse, Sarah, Tabitha, Jamie, Heather, Joey and Samantha. Dearest Great Grandmother of Mason, Grayson, Miles, Payton, Parker, Penelope and Marceline. Sister of the Late Paula and Holly.

A Memorial Gathering will be held for Carol on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with a Memorial Service at 12:00pm. Services will be at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 9800 Telegraph Rd.
