RAY, Caroline M.

Caroline M. Ray, 92, of Dearborn went to be with Jesus in her sleep on Monday, February 6, 2017. She was born on June 15th, 1924 to the late Marko and Katherine (Boksan) Dolich. She married Ernest C. Ray, Jr. August 25, 1946. The celebrated 64 years together before his death on July 24, 2010.

Caroline's career was her family. She worked at an insurance company pre children and worked to help out whenever needed.  She loved to sew and she was an incredible seamstress. She also loved to cook and she enjoyed keeping up with current politics and events. She and Ernest traveled extensively and while raising their children, traveled the entire United States. She was a member of the Altar society at Sacred Heart Church and was a member there for 65 years.

Caroline is survived by daughters Charlotte Foley (John), Ellen Knoll (Royce), Christine Whittington (Terry) and son Matthew Ray (Donna). Also survived by her sister Victoria Dickieson (Harold). She is also grandmother to 16 and great grandmother to 27. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Young (Patrick), her sister Rose Kops (Clayton), brother Andrew Dolich (Eve), and brother Alexander, three sweet great grandchildren; Faith, from granddaughter Shannon Conover (Jason) and Amber and Juno from granddaughter Melanie (Nick).

Visitation will held on Thursday, February 9th, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. A rosary service will take place at 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 10th at 11:00 AM (instate at 10:30 AM) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 22430 Michigan Ave., Dearborn, MI 48124.
