Obituary

Carolyn was a woman like no other, a woman of great morals and caring for all people. She truly lived out her faith. She had many passions; one of them brought her to the love of her life, Bob. Their mutual love of sailing lead them to taking classes at the Edison Boat Club. While attending class one day, Bob was listening intently to the instructor, however, the chattering from the back of the classroom was breaking his concentration. After class he had to investigate to find the disruptive party. Well, we can all figure out the culprit and what happened there after!

For the next 33 years, She and Bob built a life of wonderful experiences. They traveled extensively and have touched down on much of the globe. Of all the places the two of them have visited, Paris was where she loved to be the most. She absolutely loved it.

Not having any children of her own, she became the best aunt anyone could wish for. Their happiness meant the world to both Carolyn and Bob and they spoiled them to say the least. One thing they could always be sure of is Aunt Carolyn, with her impeccable memory, would remember every one of their birthdays and other special dates. On these days she, being the party planner she was, had a real celebration in store. Carolyn could always be counted on to have every detail in place so the party went off without a hitch.

Outside of her family, she was a care taker to many. She began her career as a 2 nd grade teacher. She loved to teach the children. After a few years of teaching, she felt her true calling leading her to law school where she earned her Juris Doctorate. From there she became a respected Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor. Always being an advocate for the underdog, Carolyn sought Justice for so many. She was especially protective of those in the juvenile system. Her caring heart also lead her to volunteer for Angela Hospice.

Carolyn fought a brave battle. Her positive attitude was to keep living. She never let her illness slow her down. She continued to plan vacations until the very end. Carolyn touched so many lives in a way that few people could. Her kindness and hard work will forever live on in those she has helped and those that she has loved.
