Carolyn Tackett passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on September 22, 2025 at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of Albert for over 64 years. Loving mother of Deborah (Arin), Chris (Rosann), Mark (Crystal) and Matthew (Katherine). Devoted grandmother and great grandmother, caring aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and a "Mom" to all who knew her.

Carolyn is survived by her sister, Pat Armstrong and her sister-in-law, Norma Noble. Preceded in death by her parents Mark and Maude Bentley; sisters, Frona, Laura, Georgie, and Lois; and brothers, Eulysus, Bruce, and Joe; and her grandson, Devin.

Born and raised in Kentucky, Carolyn moved to Michigan in 1960, and married the love of her life on October 31 of that same year. Together, they raised four children, and later would enjoy watching over their grandchildren.

Carolyn loved being around her family, and enjoyed a good game of Canasta, her flower gardens, shopping, and cooking. She looked forward to watching the Kentucky Derby every year, and loved her Detroit Tigers.

Visitation will be Friday, September 26th from 12:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.  Carolyn's Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27th at the Taylor location of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9800 Telegraph Road, Taylor, Michigan 48180, 313-291-0900.
