Charles J. "Jeff" Dean passed away on May 6, 2023 at the age of 69. He is survived by his significant other, Therese Swann, and his brother, Rev. Robert (Rev. Pam) Hillenbrand, of Illinois, and several cousins.

Jeff graduated from Cass Tech High School in Detroit where he was awarded a Hallmark scholarship to attend the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He was a proud alumnus of both schools and often sported hats with their logos.

Jeff had an interest with computers throughout his life and he specialized as a commercial and graphic artist producing advertising layouts.

Jeff loved animals and he rescued and housed many cats and dogs through the years. Because of his love of helping animals, the family requests that any memorial donations be made to Friends of Animals of Metro Detroit. ( https://www.metrodetroitanimals.org/get-involved/donate/ )
