On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Charles (Charlie) Henry Kramer entered an eternal rest at the age of 92, as the patriarch of five generations of relatives.

Charles was a dedicated family man of faith who embraced love, kindness, and respect. He was known for his infectious smile. Charles had a persistent passion for bowling and was still bowling into his 90's.  He was a fishing fanatic, a train enthusiast, a garage sale goer, and a fan of western movies. Pumpkin pie, pasties, and peanut butter were a few of Charles' most enjoyed foods.

Charles was born in 1928 in River Rouge, Michigan to his parents, Earl and Ruth Kramer. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Fireman from 1946-1948, during which he received the WWII Victory Medal. While based in Boston, at the age of 20, he met and married his first love, Virginia, who preceded him in death in 1993. Charles and Virginia shared 45 abundant years together, raising four children, Margaret, Linda (deceased), Earl, and James. He worked for the Detroit Edison Company, River Rouge Power Plant for 42 years, before retiring in 1991. Charles went on to share many years of his life with his partner, Mary Jane, who preceded him in death in 2005. Charles is survived by his children, Earl and Margaret, his sister Dorothy, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

His life was a BLESSING, his memory is a TREASURE, and he will be deeply missed BEYOND measure.
