CHARLES (SKIP) SIDNEY WOOD, Age 90, December 12, 2021. Fell asleep in the arms of our Lord, peacefully, after months of hospice care.  He was predeceased by his wife, Polly.  Best father of Greg (Patti), Pam (Ken), and Kim (Will).  Grandfather to ten lucky grandchildren, with two great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law to Ray (Frances).  Skip was born and raised in Greensburg, PA.  He had a love for music, especially big band that stayed with him until the end.  He was a family man, a soldier, a musician, an executive, a pilot, a scholar, a teacher, a pastor, and so much more.  We will miss him every day.  He was our rock and his faith and love guided everyone he touched.  Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home at 22546 Michigan Avenue.  A brief funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10am at Westside Bible Church, 19000 Winston, Detroit.
