Charlotte Lucille Elson-Kaszebski 1921-2013- Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother, sister and friend, Charlotte Kaszebski passed away on December 27, 2013 at Hillsdale Community Health Center in Hillsdale, Michigan. She was 92 years old, and born October 23, 1921 in Flint, Michigan to Charlotte Edith Edna (Fuhst) Elson who was a housewife, and father Harry Clay Elson who was a cement mason. She married James Anthony Bouchie on February 2, 1938 having two children, Barbara & Jeanette. James passed away in 1939, and Charlotte remarried in September 15, 1948, to Michael Kaszebski having two children, Carol and Loretta. Charlotte attended Bellevue schools, and During WWII, 1941-1945, she worked at Detroit Transmission. In 1954 she moved to Romulus, Michigan where she lived for forty-five years. She lived life to the fullest! Cooking, traveling, singing, dancing, crafts, crocheting, quilting, swimming, roller skating, fine dining, collecting stamps, and collecting coins, were just a few of the things she enjoyed. Christmas was her favorite time of year, but most of all, Charlotte Kaszebski enjoyed her family and time spent with everyone. She is survived by daughters Barbara Bates (the late Jim Bates), Jeanette Root (the late Larry Root), Carol (Mike) Fix and Loretta (Matt) Dunsmore. A proud and loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Vicky (Bill) Sims, Renee (Doug) Wyrydkowski, Andrew (Christie) David, Andrea (Joe) Hahnenburg, James David, (the late) Michael Gladden, Charmaine Gladden, Mark (Lisa) Gladden, Missy Covill, Ryan (Kara) Keller, Shawna Dunsmore, Robbie Dunsmore and Rebecca Dunsmore. Great Grandchildren, Crystal Roat, Jennifer (Larry) Ludlow, Danielle (Jeff) Felezak, Eric (Angela)Hitt, Brittney Gladden, (the late)Tommy Gladden, Jessica Gladden, James Gladden, Melissa Gladden, Christopher Gladden, Natalie Gladden, David Wayne Gladden, Joseph Gladden, Jack David, Una David, Andrew Hahnenburg, Anthony Hahnenburg, Michael Reaume, Matthew Bezeau, Noah Covill, Cash Keller, Addison Keller, Mackenzie Dunsmore, Talan Springborn and Kendra Briner. Charlotte also has seven great, great grandchildren. Jacob, Alyssa, Garrett, Eliana, Katie, Memphis, and Macy and is a legend for having five living generations four times in her family, for the last seventeen years. Visitation for family is scheduled January 2, 2014 at the Howe-Peterson Funeral home in Taylor, Michigan from noon to 1:00pm. Friends may visit from 1:00pm-8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at Christian Memorial in Rochester, Michigan. Friends and family will meet at Howe-Peterson at 11:00am prior to memorial service. The family would like to thank everyone who has helped care for and shared a part of Charlotte's amazing long-lived life.
