On October2, 2023, Chase Edwin Harrison, age 95, passed our earthly bounds. Beloved husband of the late Evie Meloche, cherished father of Dr. Chase Henri Harrison and Marjorie Mignonette Harrison, and devoted grandfather of Graham Conrad, he is survived by Chase, Marjorie, and Graham, as well as his children's spouses, Dr. Laura Safar and Mr. Conrad, and several nieces and nephews. Chase was the son of Marjorie Chase and George Harrison, born in Rochester, New York, and reared in Batavia, New York.

Chase attended SUNY at Brockport for undergraduate studies in education, earning his Masters degree from Teachers College at Columbia. After serving in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 - 1952, Chase resumed his teaching career, firstly in Long Island, then in Dearborn, Michigan in 1956, where he met and married his beloved wife, Evie. He taught all grade levels, beginning at Howe, MacDonald, and Snow Elementary Schools. After a two-year military leave, teaching in Mannheim, Germany in 1959-60, he taught 18 years at William B Stout Junior High School and 12 years at Edsel Ford High School. He thoroughly enjoyed all of his teaching and the students with whom he made contact. His retirement years were enriched by travel, with Budapest, Hungary becoming his favorite European destination, and San Francisco his favorite American city.

Visitation will take place at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home in Dearborn, Michigan, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, 3-8pm. A graveside service with military detail will take place on Friday, October 13, 11am at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan.
