Smith, Chester A., Jr., of Dearborn, MI., January 5, 2008, Age 59. He served his country in the U.S. Army, was a Michigan Free and Accepted Mason. He was a proud member of the Shriner's of America, as well as a 32nd Degree with the Scottish Rite. He retired from Star Tool and Die in 1983 after 17 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Chester A. Smith, of Blackwater, KY., and Irene McHargue Smith, of Lily, KY; two brothers Roy E. Smith, of Dearborn, MI, and Lowell E. Smith, of Taylor, MI., and one brother-in-law Carl Paul, of Edenton, OH. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kitty Smith, of Dearborn, MI.; one son, Brian Matthew Smith, of Ann Arbor, MI and one daughter Sheryl Irene White, of Brownstown, MI.; grandchildren Kayelyn, Serena, and Alexander Smith; and Sophia White. He is also survived by three sisters, one brother, and two sister-on-laws. Eva Anderson Bill of Portage, IN., Iva Dean Paul, of Edenton, OH., Doris Bunker Bob of Kalkaska, MI., Bill Smith Theresa of Walled Lake, MI., and sister-in-laws Trish Smith of Taylor, MI and Diane Smith of Corbin, KY. He was also deeply loved by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will mourn his passing. Funeral service will be held at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road, Taylor, MI, Thursday, at 10:00 AM. Visitations will be Tuesday 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Wednesday 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM. A Masonic Service will be held Wednesday, 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made on behalf or in honor of Chester A. Smith, Jr., to the Shriner Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association.
