Obituary

Clement F. Scherrer, 85, of Dearborn, MI, passed away on April 6, 2016.  He was the beloved husband of Mary (McGahey) Scherrer.

He was born on July 10, 1930, and a lifelong resident of Dearborn, Michigan, son of the late Anton and Otillia Scherrer.

Clement was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War.  Clement served with pride on the Dearborn Fire Department for 25 years.  After retiring as Captain from the Fire Department, he worked at Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum, retiring once again after 15 years of employment.

He is survived by a son, Robert J. Scherrer of Dearborn, MI, a daughter, Karen M. (Scherrer) Stern and her husband, Michael K. Stern of York, SC, and granddaughter, Kelly M. Stern, of Steamboat Springs, CO.

There are no calling hours.  Services will be private.

Howe-Peterson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations to be made to the Dearborn Fire Department Burn Drive, helping children who have suffered the ravages of burn injury:
