Connie Jean Sears went to her heavenly home on June 27th 2025 at the age 74. Born in McDowell, West Virginia on April 26th, 1951 to Alvin and the late Edith Neace.
Connie grew up in 4 states due to her father being in the Military, West Virginia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and then finally Michigan after her father got out of the Military to work at General Motors in Detroit.
When Connie and her family moved to Michigan, they lived in Detroit. Then her family moved to Taylor Michigan in 1961. When her family moved to Taylor Mi, she attended Gethsemane Baptist Church in Taylor, where at a young age she accepted Christ as her Personal Savior.
When Connie was a teenager, her family then attended Prayer Baptist in Westland Mi. She then graduated at Taylor Center High School in 1969. After graduating High School in Taylor, Mi and attending Prayer Baptist in Westland Mi, she met her husband Moses Sears Sr. in 1969. After only 3 months of dating Connie married Moses Sr. on December 6th 1969. and had 5 Children, Moses Jr. (Lisa) Sears, Deanna (Lance) Johnson, Matthew (Brenda) Sears, David (the Late Fawn) Sears and Dawn (Berlon) Watson.
She is a loving Grandmother to Kaitlyn (Zach) Koslowsky, Michael Sears, Julia Sears, Joshua Sears, Harmony Sears, Danielle Watson and Samantha Watson. Great Grandmother of Liam Koslowsky, Scarlett Sears and Scout Koslowsky.
Connie had 5 siblings, Mary (the Late Rick) Fagan, Tim (Leanne) Neace, Linda (Joe) Toth, Fred (Myra) Neace, Danny Neace. Connie was a stay-at-home Mother until her children were teenagers, then Connie attended Detroit Business Institute, then worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Detroit. Connie only worked a few years at Blue Cross Blue Shield, due to her and her husband Moses Sr. 5 children. They were their priority and making sure she was at home and there for them, and raising them in Church.
Connie made many sacrifices while raising her children. Being at home, making sure her children's needs were met. Connie was a phenomenal cook. She always made her children their favorite dish on their birthdays. Connie favorite color was green.
Connie spent many years volunteering at several schools in Taylor, and received many awards as an outstanding volunteer due to her dedication. Connie was a devoted and Faithful Christian her entire life.
Services for Connie will be held Wednesday, July 2, 10am to 12:00pm with a service at 12:00pm at Beacon Baptist Church, located at 21721 Northline Rd, Taylor Mi.
