Cornelious John Willemse, 87, of Harsens Island, Michigan went home to be with his Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Orchid Cove at Lake Placid, Florida. Cornelious (Neil) was born on June 2, 1934, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the son of Ann (Keysper) and Jan Willemse. He was a retired tool and die maker with the Ford Motor company where he worked for many years. Neil was an active member at his church, the Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball/basketball, fishing the local lakes and a good round of golf. He loved to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together, especially time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cornelious is survived by the love of his life of 66 years Marlene, sons; Kenneth (Susan), Michael (Heidi), Neal (Kathleen), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Neil's Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5th at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. 48124. Memorial gathering Saturday 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
