Daisy Stamper, age 84 of Taylor, MI, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at home. She was born on December 27, 1924 in Isom, KY, the daughter of the late Goebel Banks and Laurena Caudill. Daisy married John Stamper on December 24, 1942. She is survived by her three sons: Clarence Stamper of Taylor; Dan Darlene Stamper of Plymouth Township.; and Kenneth Kimberly Stamper of Flat Rock; 12 grandchildren: Deborah Nick Lakatos, John Jackson, Lora Mark Schilling, Dorothy Lee, Patricia John Schwartz, Keith Cheryl Gibbs, Annette Mark Goodfellow, Georgette Jeff Cheresko, Jason Sarah Stamper, Craig Kelly Stamper, Hannah Stamper, and Micah Stamper, and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Mary, brother-in-law, Hiram, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband John; her brothers, Charlie Banks and Sam Banks; her daughter, Evelyn Metcalf; and her grandchildren, Dwayne Stamper and Shirlene Morris. Services will be held at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Telegraph Rd. in Taylor, MI at 11 a.m. on October 20th. Viewing will be from 2-9 on Monday, October 19th.
