Obituary

Danielle Odette Partee, 53, passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep on October 10th, 2025.

Danielle was born on November 9th, 1971, in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Annapolis High School in 1990. Danielle went on to become a mom to three beautiful kids, Gabrielle, Celeste, and Jordan. She had three grandchildren, Alex Jr, Adrianna, and Noelle. Who she loved with all her being. She was an avid animal lover and had three dogs she adored named Nugent, Madonna, and Joe Louis. Her favorite hobby was dancing. She would spend her adolescence learning the steps to any of her favorite music videos. Papa Don't Preach by Madonna was her favorite. Her kids would ask her to perform it all the time. Danielle had the purest heart and loved deeply. All family and friends knew they could call her at any time and she would drop whatever she was doing to make time for them. Though she lived through deep, painful circumstances, it never tainted her soul.

Danielle's favorite job was working at the county for Wayne County Parks. Her favorite location was Elizabeth Park for the nature and beauty of it. She also loved setting up the Hines Drive light show. She cared deeply about humanity and history. Wanting to make sure history didn't repeat itself and that her grandchildren would have a brighter future. With her love of history, she found beauty in old architecture. Danielle and her partner, Dennis Rhoniy were in the midst of renovating an old farmhouse.

To many who knew Danielle, she went by "Dee". She was a kind, loving soul with an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. She taught everyone around her about diverse music genres and Madonna dance moves because Dee loved to have fun and laugh. Her laugh was one that would either make you laugh harder or scare you from her erupting in scream laughter.

Danielle was a genuine and authentic person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone else. She loved unconditionally and accepted everyone around her. She was adamant that voices were heard and people were seen. Dee wasn't afraid to share her opinions about anything, especially things she was passionate about. She tried to show everyone that their voices were the most important possession people have. She wanted to spread love and positivity but was also a firecracker in the best ways. Standing up for others if they couldn't.

Danielle was the smartest, most knowledgeable woman; full of random facts she gathered through her love of watching educational programs. She would stop and read every monumental plaque. She had a passion for anything Michigan or Detroit related. She loved nature, beaches, any body of water, and sunsets. She even loved thunderstorms so much she wanted to go storm chasing. She would explore the world by watching National Geographic.

Danielle is survived by her mom, Nancy Partee; her three children, Gabrielle (Alejandro), Celeste, and Jordan; her three grandchildren, Alejandro (Alex) Jr, Adrianna, and Noelle; her long-term life partner and childhood friend, Dennis Rhoniy Jr.; her siblings Jesse (Tammy), Rachelle, Nanette (Tony), and Jacquelyn (Jason); her nieces and nephews, Branden, Lynda, Connor, Jacob, Zachary and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her father Dan Partee, her grandmother Francis Lorene Partee, and her cousin Nancy Fehlig.

Danielle will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date that is more fitting for what Danielle would want...a dance party.

Private cremation has been chosen by the family. Danielle has been entrusted into care of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 22546 Michigan, 48124, 313-561-1500.
