DANNY LEE LINNE of Taylor, MI passed away on November 24, 2023 at the age of 72.

He was born on June 22, 1951 in Ypsilanti, MI. His mother, now deceased, was Dorothy (DOT) Linne and his father was Gerald Lother, with whom he never had the pleasure of meeting. He was raised with siblings; John Owens, Chuck (Paula) Stubbe, Danny (Tracy) Linne, and the late Jackie Owens, Billy Owens, Jeff Owens, and Gerald Stubbe. His whole life he resided in the Downriver Area. On July 10, 1968, at the age of 16, Danny voluntarily signed up for the United States Army. That experience definitely gave him the stability, knowledge, organization, and discipline skills that he needed in life. Growing up with dyslexia, there were not many educators that worked with children with that type of disability. Danny received most of his learning by listening! The Army was very helpful in his development. He LOVED his Army lifestyle and excelled in his basic training, and code of conduct. This led to the Basic Airborne Training and the Military Justice Regulations. He then went on to extend his knowledge of the CBR (Chemical, Bacteriological, and Radiological) Training and finally, his acceptance and performance in the 82nd AIRBORNE and 173rd AIRBORNE. Danny was also awarded a purple heart! He considered fishing and motorcycles his passion. His life was cut short due to lung disease. He had COPD, and according to the VA, was most likely due to his time in Vietnam. It went on to affect his heart, which has left him bedridden for the past two years. He loved his family very much and will be deeply missed.

Loving father of David (Stephanie) Briseno, Michelle Stacks (nee Gaddis) (aka Mouse to Danny and Miki to others), Danielle Briseno (nee Fransisco), and Danny (Christy) Gaddis). Cherished grandfather of Kenny Heebsh, Brittany Gaddis, Kara Roupe (nee Gaddis), Chelsea Gaddis, Christopher Stacks, Kyle Fransisco, and the late Gabrielle Fransisco. Great Grandfather of Karcyn Heebsh.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 1:00-8:00pm and the Funeral Service will be held at 6:00pm located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, MI 48180. Danny will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
