Darlynn Delores John was born December 4, 1932 in Everetts, Martin County, North Carolina to the late Willie Bonner Sr. and Margaritte Bonner. She fell asleep in death on September 21, 2025, at The Lodge of Taylor Skilled Nursing Facility in Taylor, Michigan.

In her early childhood, her parents relocated to the Philadelphia area, where she attended school and graduated from Simon Gratz High School; her yearbook listed her as "Charming and Sweet."

After High School, Darlynn worked as a model and later as a chorus line dancer with the world-renowned, Hortense-Allen Dancers! While performing dates at the Apollo theater in New York City, she met performer, "Little Willie John." A courtship ensued, they fell in love and were married on May 25, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. From their union were born two sons: Kevin and Keith John. After the death of her husband, Darlynn relocated with her two sons to Detroit, Michigan.

Darlynn was employed by Michigan National Bank as a bank teller for many years. Yet, even after a long day at work, she could often be found in her garden. She loved gardening!

Darlynn symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God on June 23, 1984. She enjoyed regular fellowship at the meetings, participating in Bible studies, the door-to-door ministry and even when her mobility became limited, she shared in letter writing. She touched the lives of many with her unselfish love and generosity, often hosting friends in her home. She enjoyed an interchange of fun discussions with family and friends while watching the Tiger games, traveling to Philly to be with Family and frequently cruising with her besties!

Most of all, Darlynn loved her God Jehovah and her family! She adopted special ones she loved as sons, daughters and grandchildren and treated them as her own. In her later years, she especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Just the sight of them made her eyes shine and brought joy to her heart!

Darlynn was preceded in death by her husband, Willie John; parents, Willie Sr. and Margaritte Bonner; her sister, Evangeline Bonner, and one brother, Willie Bonner Jr.

Darlynn leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: Kevin (Cathy), and Keith; her two grandsons, Kevin II (Michelle), Derek Keith (Shannon); great-grandsons, Kevin III, Kaleb Keith, Karson, Kai; one sister, Marcy Nelson; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of spiritual family and friends who all love and miss her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. located at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 15195 Pardee Road, Taylor, MI 48180.
