David Francis Daugherty, age 63, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021 with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of Margo for 23 years.

Loving father of David Lee (Jillian), Corey (Erin), and Chemise.

Devoted grandfather to a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dear brother of Irene (Norman), Connie (Craig), Tim (Becky), Donna (John), Dennis (Sharon), and Judy (Patrick).

Also survived by his bonus mother, Darlene, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Faith; and brothers, Carleton Putnam and Richard Putnam.

David was born in Waterford, Michigan and grew up in the Waterford/Pontiac area before moving to Taylor, Michigan. He was a mild mannered and meek man with a smile that would light up a room.  David was nicknamed "The Toolman" because he was able to repair or fix anything. He was a jack of all trades and yet very humble. David never met a stranger; he loved everyone and had a heart of gold.

The memorial service will be at 1:00PM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home located at 9800 Telegraph Rd. The family will begin receiving guests at 11:00AM.
