David Charles DeVore, born December 21, 1941, in Oak Park, Illinois, died January 27, 2017, after a heroic battle against cancer. He was 75. He participated in clinical trials through Karmanos Cancer Center to further research and help others. Professionally, he fund-raised for the American Cancer Society in Chicago, The Chicago Historical Society, and then The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan. Post-retirement, he founded Keepsake Video.

He is survived by his teammate in life, Ann DeVore, his wife of 50 years, as well as his daughters, Diane; Nancy and her longtime partner, Frank Nunziata; Sara and her husband, Brian Nelson. Dave has surely encountered many family pets on the Rainbow Bridge by now, and would want to acknowledge the current family pets: Lewis the Dog, Clark the Dog, and Jefferson the Cat. Dave will be memorialized Saturday, February 4 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 21915 Beech St., Dearborn, MI 48124, at 1:30 PM with a reception to follow. Flowers are welcome as are donations to the American Cancer Society.
