David was a man who lived life to the fullest extent. He involved himself in many hobbies and interests. David was quite the outdoorsman and he lived to fish. He also had a passion for archery and hunting. Hunting and fishing with his father, brothers, and friends were some of his most cherished memories. David was also an avid golfer and a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He was a huge lover of music and he enjoyed kicking back in his recliner to "rock out" as he would say, to classic rock hits for sometimes hours on end. He had a passion for watch collecting and shared this hobby with his beloved daughter. David was an Eastern Michigan University alumnus and United States Air Force Veteran and proudly served in the Vietnam War. To those with the pleasure of knowing David, he was funny and strong willed, but overall he was a family man. He loved his family and his dogs more than anything, and they will miss him more than words can describe.
A memorial gathering in David's honor will be held November 10th from 1-8PM. A special service with military honors will be rendered at 3PM. All services will be located at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Avenue. Donations in David's memory can be made out to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or the Michigan Humane Society.
