It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Debra Lee Smith, 73 of Dearborn.  Debra was the only child of the late James and Dorothy Smith.
As a Dearborn High School and U of M graduate, Debra began her career in teaching, working for the Taylor school district.  Her plans changed when she was offered a job at the Ritz Carlton.  She loved meeting many famous people and all the hustle and bustle a hospitality career brings.  Debra's spirited personality led her to many exciting ventures working for the Ford Motor Company, GM, Pitney Bowes, and for the past seven years, served as the Travel Coordinator for the City of Dearborn Senior Services.  Debra brought her creativity and sense of adventure into every trip she planned.
Debra was an avid gardener, and absolutely loved decorating her home for every single holiday.  She loved shopping, fashion and jewelry and was always impeccably dressed.
Debra will be deeply missed by her many friends, travel club members, neighbors and colleagues.
