Dennis Noel Tino passed away on Dec. 30, 2022 at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Norma Jean. Caring father of Janine (Don) Kowalski, James (Liisa) Tino, Carol (Jeff) Nadasen, John (Chaninkant) Tino, and Linda (Scott) Christenson. Proud grandfather of sixteen and Great Grandfather to 8. He is also survived by his brothers, Gary and Dale. He was proceeded in death by his brothers, Hugh and Vernon.

Dennis Tino was born to Otto and Edna Tino on December 8, 1936. He graduated from Troy Township High School in 1954, he then went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute in 1958. He proudly served his country in the Naval Reserves.

Dennis was a dedicated follower of Christ, gifted Evangelist, and a longtime member of Guardian Lutheran Church in Dearborn where he held many leadership positions over the years. He is a founding member of several programs: Global Lutheran Outreach (GLO), People of the Book Lutheran Outreach (POBLO), Morley Area Residents Association (MARA), and the International Student Ministry at Wayne State University. He led and participated in three mission trips to Venezuela and two to Nicaragua. He was an avid tennis player and was a member of the Superior Seniors Tennis Group. He also enjoyed golfing and participated in the Guardian Golf League, and sailing his 16' sailboat. He also was an enthusiastic ambassador in Crossroads Prison Ministry, fulfilling his obligations even through his failing health. He will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and those countless souls that he mentored around the world.

Visitation at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 6, 4-8pm. A prayer service will be held at 6:30pm at the funeral home. Instate will be held at Guardian Lutheran Church on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 10am until time of service at 11am. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia.
