Dewey Richard Burke, age 87, passed away October 27, 2023.

Beloved husband of the late Rosemond Jean.
Proud father of Michael, Christina (Marc) Bies, and David.
Caring grandfather of Kaitlyn, Trevor, Marc II, Michael, and Aaron.
Dear brother Ruby, Loretta, Bob, Nelly, Olin, Susan, and the late Gracie, James, Alvin, Jeanette, Evelyn, Bernice, and Frank.

Cherished uncle, cousin, and a friend to many.

Dewey was a man with many facets to his life. He made his career in the automotive industry for 30+ years, though his love of vehicles extended outside his job. He was the ultimate "car guy". Dewey was a car collector, self-taught tinkerer, and a mechanical genius; he could fix anything he set his mind to. Taking things apart and putting them back together was a skill he honed over many years. He could fabricate almost any part he needed so well it looked like the original piece.

When Dewey was ready for some relaxation, he could be found communing with the outdoors. Heading up north with his family to be surrounded by nature was a happy place for him. In his younger years, he would go bird hunting, especially pheasant, and eventually moved on to deer hunting. His aim was astounding; the rest of the hunting party could barely get a shot in! He was a proud Endowment Member of the NRA.

Dewey was a hardworking, kind, and thoughtful man that will be missed by so many.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 2-8PM. Funeral celebration of life Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11AM. All services located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor MI 48180. Interment at Knollwood Cemetery.
