It is with profound sadness we share Diane Churgay, 83 passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023.

She was a beloved wife and wonderful mother whom we will miss terribly.  Diane was born in Detroit and went to Immaculata High School.  Upon graduation, she attended Detroit Mercy before marrying her sweetheart Jon.  She was the family manager, chauffeuring her children and cheering them on at various high school band, sports, and choir competitions.  As her children grew older, Diane worked at MCL Cafeteria at the Tel-12 Southfield Mall, making friends, and sharing laughs with customers.  She then ventured into clerical work at a carpet measuring service before retiring.

Diane had a fondness for animals, especially feeding the squirrels homemade PB&J sandwiches.  She also enjoyed reading, traveling and retail therapy.  She had a smile which brightened the room, and she will be forever remembered by family and friends for her warmth and kindness.

Diane leaves behind her husband Jon, daughters Cathy Churgay M.D., Lisa Churgay and Jen Churgay (Nicholas) Smith.  She was the proud grandmother of Chloe, Rusty, Murphy, Brooke, Milo, Leopold, Oliver, Kala, and Ono.

If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the memorial service we are holding in Diane's honor Monday August 14, 2023, at St. Kateri Catholic Church at 16101 Rotunda Dr, Dearborn, MI 48120.  A viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.
