Donald E. Buxton, 91, of Dearborn, MI, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, surrounded by his family. Donald was born in Detroit on July 17, 1934, dear son of the late Irene (Reinhold) and Clark Buxton. He is survived by his loving wife, Hope of 61 years, two sons, Donald (Angelica Jones) Buxton and Mark (Tina) Buxton, 4 grandsons, Joshua (Brooklyn Wright) Buxton, Benjamin (Bailee) Buxton, Matthew (Raven Britton) Buxton and Mason Buxton and one granddaughter, Madison Buxton. Also, his sister, Patricia Latka and sister-in-law, Elsie Buxton and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by his brother Clark Buxton, brother-in-law, Roger Shingler and nephew, Mark Bogatay.

Mr. Buxton served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Ford Motor Company at the Rouge plant railroad for 38 years before enjoying retirement. Don joined the Olive Branch Masonic Lodge #542 in 1962 and earned his Entered Apprentice degree, his Fellow Craft degree and his Master Mason degree. He was very proud to be selected as Mason of the year in 2006. After a long Masonic journey, he was invited to earn his 33rd degree and was honored to do so. He enjoyed many years of comradery with his brothers in the Masonic lodge.  Donald was long time member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dearborn, MI. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, watching Harry Potter movies and was a big fan of Tiger baseball, Detroit Lions and U of M football.

Don's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15th at the Dearborn Location of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 22546 Michigan Ave. 48124.  Visitation Sunday, December 14th from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Masonic Service Sunday 7:00 p.m..  Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or Angela Hospice
