Donald Costello, 74, from Pittsburgh, PA died on November 8, 2023 in Dearborn, MI.

Donald graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Duquesne University. He worked his entire career, 36 years, in life insurance for Metlife. He moved with this job to New York, NY, Bridgeport, NJ, Ottawa, ON, and Tampa, FL. Several of the great people he worked with remained his friends throughout his life. He was able to maintain his friendships over great time and distance due to a fondness for talking on the telephone.

In his spare time he enjoyed playing chess and annual visits to Las Vegas. A lifelong Catholic, he rarely missed a weekly mass, even while traveling. He served 20 years on the Westchase Community Association in Tampa, FL. He never had a pet of his own, but loved and cared for the cats and dogs in his family.

Donald was very close with his family and moved to Dearborn, MI in 2019 to be near them. He is preceded in death by his father, Ersil, his mother, Donalda, and his brother, Robert. He is survived by his sister-in-law Susan, his niece, Heather (Brian), his niece, Melissa (Ronald), great nephew and nieces, Logan, Alana, and Inara, and several great friends. He will be very missed.
